Contribuiți la feedbackThis is now The Cobbles a little wine bar with great decor and cocktails but sadly also a really pretentious and unwelcoming maitre d who doesn 't smile, speaks to you like you are beneath him and rather than just graciously top up a cocktail when we felt the measure was a cm too low (not accounting for the cognac in the glass) chooses to go and get a measure, pour it of water and then wave it in your face. Unbelievable service in stark stark contrast to the wonderful and welcoming Shambles in the Crooked House nearby, and the incredible A la Russe we had just come from (my birthday dinner I had reserved a table at The Cobbles for cocktails after and they even knew it was a birthday). The worst service I have encountered in Windsor by a country mile. Such a shame.
As a group visiting Windsor to sing at nearby St George’s Chapel, Drury House seemed to fit the bill for a hearty meal. This was not the case. Boring pasta with ordinary sauce, scant vegetables and haphazard service leaves the group with an unmemorable taste of Windsor. Poor form.
Good service, cosy venue, yummy scones, nice cup of tea and delicious sandwiches. Right next to Windsor Castle. Highly recommend!
The Proprietor immediately made us feel at home! The dining room is cozy and welcoming. The Proprietor was engaging and welcoming. The Jacket potatoes were awesome, the ham cheese on flatbread was amazing. And, of course, the tea offered a welcome respite.
Appalling food here. Fish inedible. Very greasy. When we complained, we were told there was nothing wrong and we should have gone somewhere else. AVOID THIS RESTAURANT
