After years we were back in Windischeschenbach and returned to the White Swan, a typical Oberpfälzer economy with mainly pan dishes. The greeting was friendly, the guest room was full and we found at a table with other guests. The menu offers mainly carving, but also fish is on the map. The Schnitzel Wiener Kunst (7.50 Euro) has considerable dimensions and is usually served with French french frits. A change in the addition to potato salad was not a problem. The meat was tender and juicy with its own meat shop, which was not to be expected otherwise. The potato salad was still a little warm and aromatic. Instead of salad cucumbers, vinegar cucumbers were used, which gave the salad its own note. The side salad was fresh and crisp, with a light homedressing. The Eschawecker Zoiglschnitzel (8,50 Euro) was a natural scavenger, also with paramount dimensions. The dark sauce with plentiful onions and peppers was delicious, but I had to try the zigbier more than. As a supplement there was potato roast and also a supplement salad. Conclusion: Fine Oberpfälzer cuisine in a cosy ambience. Prices are cheap.
