This place is definitely a hidden gem in Airlie Beach. The hotel is located directly opposite the port of Airlie with the most beautiful view!!! We sat on the balcony for our meals and were very impressed by our bow and prawn linguine. Full of shrimp and a bug bug bug, this pasta meal was so big I had to leave some pasta behind me! The staff is super friendly and professional and you feel like you are in a 5-star restaurant. We were on the road on the Sebel and after we saw how beautiful this place is, we wanted to stay here too! They also serve continental and a la carte breakfast and take coffee!! I went back in the morning and sat on the balcony and enjoyed the magnificent view with my morning coffee, which was also top Notch! I can highly recommend this place, service and ambience! You have to try it before you leave Airlie!
It was our last night, family of four, opposite our hotel. I wish we had found it earlier! The food was cooked for perfection. Steak, grilled fish, shrimp and beetle linguins, pancake rolls, delicious potatoes! Big deserts. The menu is small, but we like that... because then you know it was freshly prepared. We had a fantastic view over the port. Joss stops destroying the Mozzys. The staff was so beautiful. All in all, a really great experience
Best restaurant we ate in Airlie during our time, both in terms of service and food. Unbelievable experience.
We went to Colonial Palms restaurant on our last night in Airlie Beach. Best food of the week! The food here is delicious, not too complicated but quality ingredients cooked to perfection. The chef must be well trained and really take pride in his/her work....Staff very friendly (thanks Mary! and nothing is a hassle. Don’t be put off by the fact that it’s a “motel restaurant”, it’s definitely a big cut above what comes to mind. Simple menu but done REALLY well. We had the dumplings, scallops, garlic bread and pumpkin salad for entree; steak, barra and veggie tart for mains; choc pudding and sticky date for dessert.
