The Ship Inn - Winchester

We live approx. 15 minutes in bramdean and found this little gem due to the lockdown we did not properly explore our environment and so this beautiful pub is added to our top 5 pubs to go and dine. the location was great. many parking spaces. the menu was for choice and very local products, from their garden also. the personal was beautiful and attentive and knowledgeable, which always helps. the decor was beautiful and quirky for its name is reflected in the interior design. the actual food was presented beautifully, the portions perfectly and the taste of each teller was very good! so much so that we will be booked again about the Mother's weekend s thank you. the ship we will see again soon

I wasn't in this kind of pub for very long. It doesn't quite have that special something. I felt like I was in an old-fashioned pub, but it does offer some great food options, a child-friendly play area, a pond with dragonflies, fish, and sticks for kids to play with. There are both indoor and outdoor seating options. I probably shouldn't share this, as I don’t want it to become too popular!

Wow, what a fantastic place! They offer three seating options: the bar area, the restaurant, or a beautiful garden. I visited on a Sunday, so I had to try the roast. Luckily, the deputy manager let me sample a bit of everything: pork, lamb, and beef, and I was delighted with each choice. Each meat was incredibly tender and flavorful. The roast was served with six tasty accompaniments and a huge Yorkshire pudding, all cooked to perfection and accompanied by a rich, delicious gravy. Later, I learned that many of the vegetables and fruits are grown in their own kitchen garden, which can be seen from the pub's garden. The service was excellent as well, and everything was reasonably priced, with menu options suitable for the whole family. This place is definitely worth a visit any time of the year!

I had a fantastic experience at the restaurant, thanks to the brilliant service provided by all the staff. The garden BBQ was excellent and well worth the £11 price. Alongside it, the chips, salad, pasta, and homemade coleslaw were delightful. The chef was very friendly and cheerful, which added to the overall enjoyable atmosphere. The restaurant also boasts a large garden with plenty of seating options and a children's playground, making it a great spot for families.

Excellent food, large table to celebrate a birthday and nothing was too much trouble for the lovely staff. Also a beautiful garden with great play area for kiddies and plenty of outdoor seating.
