Best Indian restaurant in Winchester. Beautifully decorated. Peaceful ambiance, great prices, small but excellent menu, friendly staff, and the food WOW!

Very nice, very friendly. Owner/Exec-Koch introduced himself and everyone serving was very satisfied and nice. Eating was very good and very easy to get veg options. Lunch menu was very good and was updated from the previous review on 2018-08-23

I have heard amazing things about sona, so my man and I have decided to shoot it. from outside it looks terrible, but we were brave and entering. 1. the atmosphere was good. nothing too special, but better than that from outside. 2. the service was excellent, and the owner came out to ask about our meal while we ate (not on an obtrusive wise). 3. eating was not impressed. I couldn't tell them what we ate because both of them had tasted the same. we are both food lovers, and the only reason we have finished our meal was not polite. the food didn't taste bad, but it wasn't good enough to make us want to eat further. Although my man and I are not huge fans of Indian food, so perhaps an Indian food lover would feel much different about this restaurant, but we were not impressed at all so that we will not return. I don't know what the Rave reviews are about. updated by the previous review on Sunday, the 10th august 2014 update: all good I said above, but I want to change the negative. we recently went to a meetup that met in sona. at the meetup, the chef has created four vegan dishes for all to share, and by trying to them, I discovered what I don't like about Indian food: curry. I love curry in Thai food, but apparently I don't like the Indian curry, because every non-curry court he has brought out was a big hit with me. I especially loved the saag and vindaloo. the rice is also great! I'm glad we came back to meetup, because this restaurant is actually a jewel. I will visit now!
