Pretty much everything you could want from a dinner on the patio of a French cafe.
Solid two star establishment The potato side was good The vegetable platter main dish was basically a cole slaw salad with some quiche type patty.
Everything about Cape Lodge says style. From the accommodation which is beyond comfortable, to the relaxed library, the bar, and then... the restaurant. Chef Michael Elfwing and his kitchen brigade deliver a first class meal every time. Even though my partner and I live a peaceful life in the Margaret River region, we always take a few days off a couple of times a year to visit Cape Lodge to be thoroughly pampered. We went to one of the "chef's special" dinners on a Sunday evening. The theme on this occassion was French and we had been assured that my wife's vegetarian requirements would not be a problem.The 'vegetarian' was not the problem. The problem was the quality of the meal and I was not happy with my non-veg. either. There was nothing particularly wrong - it was just that both meals were totally underwhelming and not worth the money.
