I live in Trowbridge and have never been before-nicest cooked breakfast I've had in a long time-very accomodating when I wanted to change a couple of things on my order-there were a few of us and we all got served quickly with our food by a lovely young lady called Talitha-good value too thanks
Absolutely appalled by what was witnessed today. The manager of the Lamb publicly humiliating those with a learning disability who we were supporting for some lunch and a game of skittles. They put money in your till, order food and drinks and pay a fee to hire your hall and still get the most awful abuse just because you were not prepared to accommodate us. Saying that “these people” should not be aloud to attend a pub independently as they are “stupid” as one lady mistakenly took someone else’s food order. This has resulted in individuals saying they no longer wish to attend or go out in the community independently as they heard the vile words they were being called. You should be ashamed of yourself!
If I give 0 stars I would, absolutely disgusting service supporting a group of disabled adults to a skittles game and lunch. Over an hour and a half wait for food and although the waitresses and bar staff couldn’t be faulted the way the manager Rose came out and spoke quite openly about the people we support which could be heard by all is nothing short of disgusting. Apparently “these people” was the terminology used, shouldn’t be allowed to attend without a carer…very inclusive. The **** up with the orders were somehow our fault and should be pre-ordered. You are a pub that have the dates of our attendance very far in advance so surly you should ensure you have enough staff available to accommodate us before agreeing to these dates in the first place. On arrival we asked the staff member behind the bar if you were only doing basket meals or the whole main menu, we were told the whole main menu so this is what we orders from. Almost an hour and a half later we were still waiting The people we support could hear the horrible words coming out of your mouth. Some of whom it takes a lot of courage to enter the community unsupported. Think how they now feel? I for one will not be spending a penny in your establishment again and advise anyone with a disability to do the same. Discrimination of people with a learning disability should not be tolerated at all especially in this day and age when inclusive culture should be promoted. Sorry that the people we support were such a burden to your day as you clearly have a problem with them enjoying a social meet up amongst friends. Avoid!!
We attended a lunch by the Royal Air Forces Association at 12.00 for 12.30. There were about 25 of us and I had Sausage Eggs and Chips followed by Butterscotch Pudding and custard. The sausages were very tasty but the chips were rather limp and one of the eggs was overcooked. The Butterscotch Pudding was OK, but for me it was spoilt by having custard which was far too sweet and which I had to leave. Although the lunch was booked for 12.30 it was nearly 12.50 before anyone was served. I think they were short staffed as some of the group were served nearer 13.00, by which time others had nearly finished their mains. Some of the group had ordered the Chicken Dinner but found the Chicken Breast quite dry and the pale cabbage rather bland.
