Qudos - Wiltshire

I can’t really fault the taste of our meals, nor the service. That said. one of the meals emphasised prawn crackers as an accompaniment but it wasn’t until we’d asked where they were that we were told they were not available. Apparently they are freshly made in house? We were offered poppadoms as an alternative but really not sure that this was acceptable really. No real apology and we felt that had we not asked nothing would have been offered. My one big gripe was there was no ambience at all; football on TV somewhere in the background but the dining room was very quiet.

After not receiving a reply to my email about our last visit for Sunday roast, I decided to write a review on TripAdvisor. We have dined at this restaurant many times on Sundays, but our last visit was very disappointing. The roast potatoes were undercooked and needed more time in the oven. The beef was dry, and for a 13:30 booking, there was a noticeable lack of the usual vegetables. I have recommended the Sunday roast in the past, but I will not be doing so again. We will not be returning to this restaurant. I am left wondering what has happened to the quality of the food.

I recently stayed at this hotel for one night with a friend and we had a clean and spacious twin room. The hotel has a restaurant downstairs, though we did not dine there. Parking is available down the road for £7.50, and we had to inquire for directions at the front desk. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The hotel is centrally located and we had no trouble finding our way back later in the evening. Overall, a great stay.

This hotel is fantastic. The staff is lovely, the food is delicious, and the rooms are top-notch. I will definitely return in the future.
