Mere Fish Chips - Wiltshire

They would not go back, the fish n chips that I ordered were disgusting the fish that I ordered at the unwrapping was only completely saturated in fat that the fish had no taste at all, the chips were not cooked enough and tasted funny. I've been trying to...a lot of fish-N-chip outlets in Britain and that must be the worst I've surpassed.

Nicely fermented and chips well boiled and hot. would they go again, cook them in the usually quite fresh as it is in a very small town/village, so if they did not smell the place on the wind they would not see it when they know it is there. clean and mental. well done.

We stopped here to get some urgently needed food on a guildford okehampton guildford 1-day round trip. the shop itself is clean and the personal friendly. note, they only take cash, no credit or debit cards. we ordered fish (cod) and chips. and jump roll and chips. the cost was £15, what we thought was a bit expensive. the job took maybe 5 minutes to prepare what was good. the chips were ok. Typical fish business chips really, easy soggy, actually as I like them and the standard part was a lot. the cod was another matter. the teig was thick and hard, but kept a lot of oil and the fish was ready, dry and tasteless. the jump rolls down to an even lower level. a brown oozing mush had failed. it looked dirty and tasted worse! we ate the chips and took the rest. If I were her, I would avoid it and find it somewhere else.

I have tried all the fish and chip shops within 20miles of Warminister and although not traditionally cooked in beef dripping which i hate the taste is authentic. Fish well cooked with crispy batter and no uncooked batter. Chips crispy outside with soft...interior from excellent tasting potatoes. Always willing to please also.

Terrible! I went in to get some food for the family we never really have fish and chips so we thought this would be a treat. After collecting some food and getting home I found that the order wasn't complete! I clearly stated 2x cod...and chips with a kids meal I saw the lady write what I said. They wanted to then charge me 8 pound for a bit of fish with chips. I said out of inconvenience I just want a bit of fish and they couldn't even do that even though it was their fault. I won't be going back even tho I live locally.
