Family Fisheries Restaurant & Take Out

We stopped for lunch and discovered that several items were unavailable, mainly the lobster rolls. However, the staff offered to let us wait until the lobster stew was ready, and we're glad we did. It was the best meal we had during our entire trip. The stew was packed with tender lobster and tasted delicious. Overall, we would give the restaurant 4 stars due to the missing items, but 5 stars for the amazing lobster stew!

I was recommended this restaurant by a local and it exceeded my expectations. The food was delicious and the portions were huge. The majority of seating is outdoors, but there is also a small sitting area on the side with picnic tables. The Fisherman's Plate was ample enough to feed two people.

After placing our order for lobster rolls and waiting around amidst the mosquitoes, a local passed by and asked if we had been told it would be about a 30-minute wait. No, we hadn't. She then led us to a screened-in porch where we could sit at a picnic table without getting bitten. The wait might have been standard for most places on the island, but it was because everything was made fresh. Our lobster rolls were worth the wait. Not only were they delicious, but they were also huge! I had to use a fork to eat it like an open-faced sandwich. In conclusion, the food was fresh, delicious, and definitely worth the wait.

I've heard with my wife recently. we had the seafood for two meals. it was very good! the garnels were excellent! a couple too much pommes, I hate to throw them away, but I couldn't eat them all.

We were searching for a place to eat on our first day on the island. We mostly ordered fish of some sort (ie. Fish Burger, Fish and Chips). They were very good and the portions were huge. The tables inside were crowded, and I did...not enjoy the takeout boxes. 2 members of my party ordered coconut cream pie and carrot cake. They were very good and large slices for the price. Overall this restaurant which is mainly takeout was great and I would definitely recommend!
