To the old Linde Niederdielfen – meeting place for young and old The “old Linde in the center of Niederdielfen has been around 250 years. Since 1846 as a treat. Since 1944 the old half-timbered house was leased, sold in 1959 to the municipality of Wilnsdorf and leased to different gastronomic operators until 2011. After a long vacancy, the Bürgerverein Zur alte Linde e. V. took over the “Key Force” on 22.8.2012 and started a large cleansing, maintenance and remodelling campaign and on 6.10.2012 the official inauguration ceremony of a historic building remodelled into the “Dorfgemeinschaftshaus” took place that the Citizens’ Association was able to acquire in Erbpacht in 2014. The house consists, among others, on the ground floor of a festive room about 65 seats, the peasant's room 8-12 persons and the pub 35 persons. The premises can be rented by interested parties for the execution of various celebrations. On the one hand, the non-profit civic association wants to ensure the preservation of the old building and, on the other hand, through a variety of activities, to make the villages live and become a meeting place for all citizens, with the main focus on the support of art, culture and senior aid Activities include training, readings, meetings for women and young mothers, evenings and, of course, music events. I visit such a music event in the form of a jazz-break-stop at high summer temperatures quasi Openair with “Lämpels Jatz Orchestra”. The tables and benches in front of the old Linde are occupied to the last place and the many guests can enjoy cool beverages, small dishes of bratwurst, sauerkraut, potatoes, currywurst, etc. and the sounds of the Dixieland Revival of the 50s with titles from the 20s and 30s as well as modern swing pieces. Numerous members of the club are volunteering, explaining the building and the rooms and ensuring a smooth “gastronomic process” of early-stoping. On Fridays and Saturdays the “old pub” is open and young people can play darts or watch football transfers.
