Nicola's Italian - Wilmington

**Food:** The food has been fantastic every single time; I’ve never had a meal here that I didn’t enjoy. **Service:** The wait staff—am I spelling that right?—has always been excellent, going beyond just polite. They never seem rushed, which adds to the experience. **Atmosphere:** We always comment on the atmosphere during our visits, in a positive way. It might be a bit noisier than we prefer, but it’s not overwhelming, and you can still hear your dining companion. We make it a point to try a new restaurant every week for date night, but after a few weeks, we find ourselves coming back here for our Nicola's fix. P.S. I’m hesitant to give out five-star ratings, as I believe they should be reserved for the elite, but this place is certainly one of them.

This is a charmingly small and intimate Italian restaurant with exceptional food. The marsala was fantastic, but the little neck clams in white wine and garlic sauce were simply remarkable—they truly stole the show. They also serve authentic cannoli. If you’ve ever had cannoli from New York, you know what REAL cannoli tastes like, and this place has it. I can’t wait to return.

We had a large group of men out for our monthly neighborhood guys night out Thursday and everyone loved their food. Service was better than excellent and we honestly couldn’t have asked for a better all around experience. I had the Pappardelle and it was absolutely fabulous. 5 stars. Highly recommend.
