A great treat while running under the sun on the river in downtown Wilmington. They were also very dog friendly and brought a bowl of water for our pup, although they already had a common dish for every thirst dog that went down the docks. You have also scattered some great little gifts in your café and do a good job to present your purchases in a neat little gift bag with a band. I can't wait to go back to Brunch on Sunday and try one of their quiche!
Perfect place to watch the sunset over the river and enjoy a glass of wine or a light meal. The Carmener I had was excellent, the service was kindly attentive, without being intrusive, and the background music was the best: Françoise Hardy and Jacques Dutronc, what a joy! I'm definitely back!
Beautifully laid place with an excellent wine list. Our server, Lindsay, took care of us. This is a special small place.
A friend came from Charleston, SC with her dog and wanted a place for a nice wine and small plate for lunch. We shared the chicken curry salad with warm bread and very good white wine, well paired! Le Catalan was perfect! Super friendly people from staff to the Mäzen and all loved their dog and everyone enjoyed the view and the food on the river walking on an incredibly beautiful February afternoon!! Was a proposal from a resident of old Wilmington and a very nice one in it!
We visited Le Catalan on a cloudy day during a business trip. I absolutely loved it. The restaurant is super cute and has a relaxing vibe and atmosphere. I had a dirty flamingo cocktail, which was refreshing and just the right amount of sweetness. Then I had the tomato and basil soup, the special brocoli and cheddar quiche and for dessert the Catalan cream (similar to creme brulée). I loved every single course. The food was delicious and tge staff was friendly. Visiting Le Catalan and being able to sit outside viewing the boarwalk and the river was the highlight of my visit to Wilmington.
