Eternal Sunshine Cafe - Wilmington

This WAS my favorite place to eat. Apparently the menu has changed and been replaced with ‘poke’mon card binder page’ menus. While creative, didn’t seem to align with their brand or customer base and not reader friendly. They are also no longer accommodating to food sensitivities/allergies or any modifications to menu items based upon the ‘chefs preference of presentation’ over customer satisfaction. It’s extremely unfortunate and disappointing because we used to love their breakfast selections.

Absolutely my favorite place for breakfast! I love all the people who work there and the food can't be beat!!

The servers were amazing! The chefs here are amazing!! I had to eat outside because I had to hang out with my cat today, Ashley was kind enough to bring my cat water and baby sitting services to help me out in the future. Very empathetic!!! First time in my life where I had to slow and savor the food and I am high quality pizza chef in this town. Amazing experience, they all need a raise!!!

We were in the area and were excited to try somewhere new. Staff- Everyone that we interacted with was very nice, willing to help, and always had a smile on their face. The employees were the highlight of the experience. Style- The decor was bright and appropriate for this type of restaurant. The tables are small and packed closely together lending to the restaurant being loud, but that is just a matter of my preference. It is not unlike other similar restaurants. Food- This was hit or miss. Multiple people in our party ordered the biscuits and gravy but just couldn’t eat them. It is probably just their recipe and not anything wrong with the food itself, but it wasn’t our preference. The potato wedges had a good flavor, but were way overcooked. On the bright side, the eggs, bacon, and pancakes were all good. Overall- For a premium price I expected premium food. This is obviously a popular place from the crowds, but it just isn’t for us.

We had a table for 5 and we're told it would be a 20-25 minute wait. The hostess came to talk to us after 35 minutes stating it would be a bit more of a wait. She then proceeded to seat a table for 6 that came well after we did. When I asked her why she sat them first that we had been waiting 45 minutes by then, she said they only have one table for 6 and they would have been waiting for a very long time. When I asked how much longer it would be for us to eat, she did not have any idea. Terrible customer service.
