Benny's Big Time Pizzeria - Wilmington

An absolutely perfect experience! I came late, but still top notch service! Meating the Minds Pizza is amazingly good. Airy but filling crust is delicious, and the meats and cheeses above are amazingly rich! Personally, I like a little more firmness under the crust, as it was a little dizzy, but it was so good that I was not interested at all! One thing that is a must is the Hot Honey. I don't know what's in it, but I want to buy it from the gallon! Instead of the usual crushed red pepper, the hot honey adds a tiny piece of sweetness and heat that perfectly complements the pizza. More places should offer this!

It is a beautiful place to go with friends and family. I love the quality of her pizza. My son loved the Mozz Tots and these garlic knots are also quite awesome!!

I'm waiting for a while to visit Benny's, and it was worth waiting. I have a very nice mood and a great pizza menu. Add the fantastic staff and bar selections and it is a new way for guests from the city.

The espresso martini was so delicious! And the pizza we got was some of the best we had. Reminds my husband and I of pizza we ate in Italy. Even our Picky toddler ate 2 slices. A beautiful place with great food. And our server Susie was amazing.

Big fan of Benny’s! Their spaghetti, cocktails, and desserts are always good. However, many visits I have tried different menu items that turned out to be less than impressive. On our most recent visit, our server was quite unpleasant and our pizza was absolutely burnt to a crisp out the outer crust. The bruschetta was drowning in too many tomatoes. It’s like the bread-to-topping ratio was way off! I don’t know if the standard here is to chill red wines, but we found this a bit odd as well. Annnnnd there are a few teeny typos! All that being said, Benny’s still has the best spaghetti in Wilmington, and the atmosphere is always enjoyable! We’ll continue to visit, it’s just taken time to know what dishes are and are not worth ordering.
