Sheep Creek Lodge - Willow

This was my first visit to the Sheep Creek Lodge. I've driven past it innumerable times but finally stopped and I sure am glad that I did! The Lodge recently reopened after a temporary shutdown. It is very nice and clean inside. Not at all rustic like some of the roadside lodges around the state. The food was great and reasonably priced. I had a french dip that was melt in your mouth tender and tasty and the aus jus was delicious. I also had a side salad with romaine that was very good too, not the cheap bagged iceberg stuff. My meal was $10. My son had a BLT for less than $10 which also looked very good. He had the french fries for a side which were not super, but ok. The service was good and the waitress was attentive, but the food was a little slow in coming out. Worth the wait however. The Lodge has a great selection of local beer on tap from the Denali and Alaskan Brewing Companies and pints are $5!! They also have events for special occasions such as Valentines Day and live music too! Next time you are up that way, stop in and check it out. You'll be glad you did!

Great place. Very friendly. Food was good. We had cheese burgers. Glad to see this place back in business. The logs are so pretty. Nice big screen tv.

Wife 's meal was over fried fish and very greasy pile of fries.
