Taste Sea - Willingboro

Ironically this spot was four doors away from Soul Boat, my original destination to pick up food. I went in and I was told immediately 'we only have shrimp and whiting fish '. The menu on the board looked amazing from every type of fish to shellfish. Looked great. The chef was behind the counter; she said that the business was closing in 1 month, they 'd only been open for 1 year. She said that the owner had stopped shopping for food, and they 're selling what they have. Understood, but I wish I had known that before I ordered. But whatever I ordered shrimp and grits w/peppers onions. It wasn 't until I waited outside and read the reviews that were pretty terrible from the plating to the customer service, to the overcooked and disgusting food. When I got to my destination I heated up my shrimp and grits in the microwave, three minutes later the shrimp were a bit overcooked, but, regardless the flavor was very good. The grits were flavorful could 've used a little more smooth love. Unfortunately this place will close and I don 't know why they couldn 't make it last for only after one year that 's pretty sad. Quality of food should not be jeopardized. The chef said another 'black-owned ' eatery w/replace it. That location may not be ideal, with a thriving chain doors away. Idk.

Rating based on the tried the whiting fish sandwich. Absolutely delicious! Meaty, super crunchy and seasoned but not salty!! I drive from New Brunswick for it!

Ordering something from there is like playing Russian roulette! Never have what you want to order. y attitude like you're supposed to know what in stock, trash portion sizes for the price , and again food I mentioned he they don't know to talk to ppl trying to patronize their business?? Don't bother....?

Got the fish and shrimp combo with fries and it was amazing and fresh will definitely recommend and return.

Good thing they are closed now, too many bad reviews. Getting food from Sam's Club and dumping it in the fryer.
