Hoss's Steak Sea House - Williamsport

The cleaver cut steak was cooked perfectly, just as I requested. The fried butterflied shrimp were excellent. However, the Caesar salad fell short; it was simply iceberg lettuce with a bit of romaine. That doesn’t qualify as a Caesar salad at all.

I never received the sweet tea I ordered, and there was no plasticware provided. The steak tips were overcooked as well. This is the second time I've had a similar experience at this restaurant. I initially thought it was just the staff, but it seems to be a broader issue with the quality.

The presentation was attractive, but the cleaver cut fell short of my expectations. It was tough and not cooked correctly.

The quality can be hit or miss. When made correctly, it's outstanding. I ordered the ribeye steak, cooked rare with Cajun seasoning. On Monday night, it was perfectly cooked and seasoned. However, when I returned on Wednesday for the same dish, it arrived medium well and lightly seasoned. While it was still delicious, it didn’t quite reach the level of satisfaction that the first ribeye provided. The sides were quite enjoyable as well; the baked potato was perfectly cooked, moist from the edge to the skin, and rich in buttery flavor. I'll be dreaming about that Monday ribeye for weeks—it was amazing!

I was very disappointed with the food! The French fries were stone cold, and the beef tips were overcooked. We asked for them to be well done but not overdone; my daughter had trouble chewing them. The side salads seemed like they were made from leftover lettuce from the salad bar, and the cucumbers tasted off. The salads consisted of just a bit of lettuce, one cucumber, and one onion, which felt ridiculous for the price I paid. I’ve learned my lesson and won’t be ordering from there again.
