Hoss's - Williamsport

Late lunch. Family friendly atmosphere, could use an internal upgrade. A few times visited and always impressed by their great variety, cleanliness and freshness on the salad bar. The food was delicious and well cooked, although my husband's steak was a bit chewing.

Horrendous for the price. I've eaten at a variety of steakhouses, buffets, salad bars, etc. and there is nothing special about this place other than the several decades old decor and food preparation. Many parts of our meal were lukewarm, steaks seem like they're cooked on a flat grill, and buttered mushrooms are canned and taste terrible. That said, the wait staff were pleasant and corrected one thing that we complained about. We weren't overly critical to the staff because we came with an elderly family member who suggested it and seemed to enjoy their meal. However, we are highly unlikely to go back unless the place is completely overhauled. Gamble with your digestive system at your own risk.

We happened to be passing through town and decided to stop here for dinner since we can go to one of the national chain restaurants any time. We were so glad we did! Our waitress was friendly and attentive and the food was good. My husband was impressed by the salad bar and I had perfectly cooked steak tips with well seasoned onions and peppers. If you are in the mood for home cooking in a quiet, friendly, pleasant neighborhood atmosphere I highly recommend this place. It's a great value.

Love this place, salad bar is amazing, you can stick to your diet with all the fresh healthy options or you can go crazy and treat yourself with ice cream, breads, soups, chili, Mac n cheese, nachos, and all the wonderful desserts. I had the 1.99 burger and my son had the pulled pork sandwich. Both were amazing. I am doing keto diet right now, as it did suck not to eat all the yummy desserts, it's nice to go to a place that allows me to stick to my dieting while the person I'm dining with can eat without having to adhere to my diet. Large seating area, large parking lot, handicap ease with roomy seating area . Very friendly staff

Hoss was never a 5-star dining experience, but at least in Williamsport Pennsylvania it was a good standby with decent food. Our experience last week was terrible. While the hostess and waitress were both very nice, the dinners took over 55 minutes to appear and the salad bar was disgusting. Dirty, rusty salad, lush pasta salads....bar warm soups and sides. Dessert Bar was extremely limited, not that we wanted after the lousy dinner. One in our party ordered a Mac cheese dish as their entree and it was rough. A large cold bell of Mac cheese with 3 over boiled chicken nuggets above. I usually try to find something good, but honestly all the top for 3 people and our bill was $89.
