The Wine Seller - Williamsburg

I was very impressed! I wasn't sure what to expect since my first visit coincided with the new owner's takeover and they were still renovating. The wine selection is unique compared to other places in town, and as soon as you request a recommendation, the staff is quick to assist you! I was also a bit uncertain about their tapas and dishes, but we ordered several items, and everything was excellent with wonderful presentation! While some spots in Williamsburg are busier, they can't match the level of service you receive here. Knowing that the owner is actively involved and invested in the restaurant really makes a significant difference! I highly recommend it!

John is an excellent owner who offers a constantly updated selection of draft beers to suit all tastes. There's a fantastic variety of beer 4-packs and a solid selection of single bottles as well. The wine list features options from all over the world. You can enjoy games like dominoes and cards or just grab a light snack. It's a wonderful spot to hang out with friends, and while he does sell cigars, they must be smoked outside. Definitely give this place a try!

I was recommended to visit this place by a friend to pick up some alcohol, and they even told me what to say to the staff. When I arrived, the woman was somewhat friendly, but the man was quite unfriendly. My mom frequently visits to choose from their beer selection, and she mentioned that you could create your own mix. However, when I got there, the guy acted like it wasn't an option, simply pointed me to where the selection was, and his overall demeanor was not pleasant at all. Honestly, you'd be better off going to a grocery store. The prices are quite steep as well. If you're looking for wine, I suggest going to a winery instead, as you'd get much better value for your money there. The beer is also overpriced.

Do not go in here not knowing what you want because the girl has no knowledge of beer. After telling her that my family has been in here and what beer they get she then finally said she would get the man. However he was very short and refused to answer questions too. Just said no and pointed to a 4 pack I did NOT want.

The Wine Seller has been a staple of my weekly plans for nearly a decade. When John took over three years ago, my experience here has only grown more positive, with the new remodel to increase seating, the music played, the homemade pizza and beer tastings, and the selections which have gotten far better than anything in years past. Top notch staff, great beer selections, and the atmosphere is amazing.
