You have to know what to order when you come here. just because the menu says 'chef recommendation ' doesn 't mean you 'll get what you want. this is my favourite spot to eat in china town, however, because it 's not too busy and the food is always served deliciously. maybe because whenever i come here, i don 't really change the menu, but i know it 's nice and filling.<br/ <br/ what you should try: chilli pepper squid, sambal kangkong, kang pao chicken, deep fried bun, japanese sizzling tofu, crispy chicken skin in vinegar sauce, chicken in sambal sauce. i like everything that has chilli on it, which would be why i tend to get something with strong flavours. ask for a chilli oil $2 adds on) and just dip it in to your rice, yep... that 's just how you want it.<br/ <br/ my friend introduced this place to me 5 years ago and i 've been a loyal customer ever since. as the price is considered pricey, this is a place you can go when you have a craving for chinese food and you 're around the area. between the two of us, i usually spend approximately $30-$35 in total.<br/ <br/ the food comes real quick but don 't worry, it 's not microwaved. i think they just cook very fast in the kitchen.<br/ <br/ why 4 out of 5? from at least 6-7 pages of menu, you will order something that sounds delicious but tastes bland. i had this experience and that 's why you gotta know what to order before you make that decision.
Yum, fun and Very Reasonable. We ventured down to Northbridge to check out Chinatown for the first time. As Singapore China Town had such a good rating we thought it would be the best choice to start with. We found a great atmosphere, bustling happy diners. The staff were very welcoming and the service prompt informative. We ordered a selection of entrees mains. My personal favourite is Prawn Toast and theirs was the best I've ever had. The clams in XO sauce, garlic scallops veggies, chilli pepper squid and crispy soft shell crab were standout mains ... All true to flavour and delicious. Hubby had the crispy duck which was different from anywhere else with an added batter-like coating on the bottom. Personally I didn't like that part but the duck itself was good. I wouldn't recommend the Mee Goreng but as this is not traditional Chinese I should have known better. The fried rice was a lot fluffier than I've had before but possibly that's healthier?!? As it was hubby's birthday they surprised us with deep fried ice cream in coconut batter with a candle in a bottle of wine! The final surprise was the bill: $130 for 4 entrees, 6 mains 2 containers full of leftovers. Great value! Highly recommended :
Best Late Night Chinese in Town. Title says it all. We go there almost every week at the end of a night out and are never disappointed. Price is great, service is great, food is great.
My number one choice in China Town. Awesome customer service, same people have been serving me and my friends for years. Dishes are always spot on. As always, comes down to what dishes you like. Highly recommended.
Nice Chinese food! I am from Hong Kong and the foods make me feel like home! Especially the Hong Kong style clay pot rice, it's unique at Perth! The set also come with a homemade soup! The boss is nice and friendly, he gave great suggestion for food order.
