Tory Oak - Wilkesboro

Food was excellent, unfortunately short staffed that day but the waitress we did have worked extremely hard trying to serve as many as she could. With all that, she was quite pleasant! If we are in that area again, we will visit again!

Sandwiches are huge as a small size! The food is fresh and excellent with very reasonable prices! The turkey sandwich was fantastic.

Went to Dooley’s for supper after the activities at North Wilkesboro Motor Speedway. I had the fried egg and cheese burger. It was great. This place has a warm atmosphere and a friendly staff. Good beer selection as well.

Problem was my food came out late, soggy and cold. Returned it and was regrilled and served when the others in my party were finishing up. They were going to charge full price and had to fight for a reduction. Poorly handled.

At first I was going to give this a great review. Sat at restaurant thinking the food was great, cute outside area with music. However the bartender was soo rude I am Furious. I was with my husband and ordered 1 rum/coke with dinner. it was good and it was a Friday night. So-The next time I ordered the waitress asked if I wanted a double instead- said it was cheaper. I said sure. When it came out, it was in a single/ low ball glass, and tasted like zero rum- just soda.I asked my husband to taste it. He said yeah, I can barely tasted it but I THINK there’s rum in there. I didn’t complain, I’m not a big drinker anyway, and just figured maybe I just got a weak single or the waitress, who was new, mixed it up. But When bill came, I was charged a double. I told the waitress what happened and she went in to see what to do. Someone came out who I thought might be a manger, so I politely explained there was a mix up with my drink etc. it turned out to be the bartender and she Literally argued with me AND she didn’t make any sense…something about she was “surprised I got a double and figured I didn’t like the taste of alcohol so she put less ice in it”?? How does that make sense? She argued and dug her her heels- clearly gave zero fcks about customer service. I think her name was Bree, or Brea. She literally argued over a $4 difference… I’m not worried about the money but it’s an attitude I can’t stand that gets under my skin. waitress was new and apologetic, but WTF. I will NEVER go back there again.. I was a bartender, cocktail waitress and waitress for years to put myself through school and NEVER would have acted the way she did. Owner needs to take a look at his staffs attitudes and how they handle situations.
