Don's Seafood Steak House - Wilkesboro

My group of seven went to this restaurant after church. We were seated quickly and each of us ordered something different from the menu, all of which we were satisfied with. The service was excellent, although our server did not introduce herself and I forgot to ask for her name. The portion sizes were generous, with enough to share. We all left full and even had leftovers to take home. The only downside was that they did not offer a children's menu, so the smaller portions for kids were a bit expensive.

My mother-in-law and I were in the mood for seafood. We were near Wilkesboro, so we decided to try out Don's seafood restaurant. Everything was exceptional, from the service to the cleanliness to the delicious flounder and shrimp with hush puppies. I highly recommend dining here and will definitely be back when I am in the area again. Overall, I would rate the food, service, and atmosphere all a solid 5 out of 5.

The salt and pepper catfish at this restaurant is excellent. They serve the whole bone-in salt and pepper catfish sometimes and it's definitely a favorite. The salad bar offers a variety of fresh options. The price per person is $10-20. Overall, the food and service both receive a rating of 5 stars.

Great fish camp. Food was spot on and our waitress took excellent care of us. We drove over an hour to get there and it was well worth it. We will be back. It never ceases to amaze me as to the poor quality of food this place has! I’ve lived here for over 10 years and have eaten here numerous times and every time I say I’ll never come back! 60 dollars for two people and can’t even eat 1/3 of it because it’s so greasy! The oysters are nothing but grease because they don’t have the temp of the oil high enough, the jumbo breaded shrimp are from a box and they claim it’s fresh seafood and flounder is ok. If you’re reading this review please take my advise don’t waste your money!
