The White Crow - Wigan

This pub is excellent! It has a cozy, charming, and picturesque rural ambiance that's especially delightful on cold, wet, or snowy days. The parking situation is a bit chaotic, but I've seen worse; just take it slow and be cautious of the potholes and rough spots. Overall, the establishment itself is fantastic. The food is excellent, with a large and varied menu that offers great value for money. The staff is very friendly and attentive. There are seating options both inside and outside, and they have good COVID-19 safety measures in place. I definitely recommend it! Just keep in mind that it's a pub with a casual atmosphere—not a fine dining experience. While it does offer a few more upscale dishes, the focus is mostly on simple, hearty meals that are incredibly well-made.

This is a truly charming pub that offers a fantastic selection at reasonable prices. The food is excellent and clearly fresh, as it takes some time to prepare and is served piping hot. Everything was at a comfortable pace, and we never felt rushed to make room for other guests. The staff is attentive, so we didn’t have to wait long to be served, despite the many tables. There's a good reason this place has been around for over 300 years!
