The View - Wien

Seemingly the only cafe on the Danube for quite a distance. stopped off for coffee and snacks. friendly staff and food was good

We were in Vienna for CLIA Riverview conferance last weekend and we did a 4 day Danube river cruise afterwards. We visited this place before we sailed and again this morning before our flight The food came very quick and the staff were very helpful. The chips portion here is bigger than some other places we went in Vienna. The location is fantastic, as they are just next to the Port Offices with view of the Danube Rivercruises moored on one side and a beautiful St. Francis of Assisi Church on the otherside. The panoramic windows are an additional point. The first time we had to go back for my friend's missing phone and they helped us look for it . Then this morning, they agreed to keep our bags while we went out as our flight was in the afternoon. If you're ever in the area, please head down here for a drink or two and a bite to eat.

We were staying in the Hilton Waterfront. We were out and found a beautiful church just around the corner from the view and we popped in for a drink. It was a lovely day and stayed outside to take in the views of the Danube. As we had eaten already we decided to come back the next day for food. The food was delicious. Hubby has the steak, this was melt in your mouth and he is not one for complements but he said it was one of the nicest steaks he had eaten. He got the bacon potatoes, I also tried these and they we so tasty. I had the salmon with rosemary potatoes. The whole thing was lovely. Staff were all very friendly. I had a few cocktails called sex on the river, very nice and full of alcohol. Would recommend this place especially on a nice day as the outside area is lovely. Great for people watching.

Spent a lovely dinner with my mother, great service and very friendly staff. Food was lovely and serves were generous. Glad we found this gem with an amazing view of the Danube River for our only night in Vienna

Wonderful service and food. The staff couldn't do enough to accommodate my one year old. They brought her a car to play with, free food, they checked what temperature the water should be for her to drink. It's a gorgeous setting too.
