Stein's Diner - Wien

I first had lunch here, Apple juice with a good baked egg sandwich, in the sun. Quick, professional staff, tasty food, fair prices. Later I came back for a nice beer which was very good as well.

Excellent situated very close to the Parliament, Cityhall, Volkspark and other atractions). Pretty good food, really good caffe. Not very expensive, not cheap let s say moderate. Waiters are nice and kind, but the service are a little bit slower or, maybe, I dont have enough patience).

After we waited a quite long time to be recognised by a waiter as customers, we were sent to the inside since the garden was closed (at 18:10). The waiter accepted the order unwillingly and with command character. Then nothing. At the point when we nearly wanted to leave, we finally got parts of the order but we did not receive some ordered cakes. Right after finishing the last bit, we had been kicked out. The process of paying equaled the treatment of prisoners by marines. Vienna is known for incredibly unfriendly waiters. But this is more than enough. Just because the food was acceptable it reached for 3 points.

We've tried several restaurants and this one was the only one we've found with some tasty, delicious food. I recommend!

Happened across this restaurant for lunch. Ordered tap water and menu of the day. They brought bottled water which we sent back. Well what a stir! Water travelled the length of the place a few times and finally we were told they only serve tap water with coffee. (This is not true as other locals got tap water served in a glass without the bottle) So we were forced to take the already opened bottles (not opened in front of us either) we were hit with a €5.80 charge for this. So it’s a well rehearsed scam. They lost out as we’d planned to buy drinks after our lunch but we went else where. Food was eatable, nothing special just like what you get in a canteen or deli. But for €10 was acceptable.
