Toby Carvery Runwell - Wickford

The food was delicious as usual, but unfortunately the roast beef was overcooked.

When we finally ordered at the food counter, I chose the beef while my husband chose the turkey and gammon. The beef was unfortunately tough and impossible to eat, but the waiter quickly replaced it with the turkey which was much better. The cauliflower cheese lacked flavor, but the roast potatoes and cabbage were enjoyable. Overall, we did not feel the meal was worth the price, especially since it was a bank holiday Monday. We also heard that the prices are cheaper during the week, but we do not plan on returning regardless.

This restaurant is excellent for what it offers. The meat was cooked to perfection and there were plenty of vegetables. The chefs are always very helpful in this high-pressure environment.

Good cheerful welcome, their roasts are superb, and a excellent choice of freshly cook vegetables
