Red Lobster - Wichita

We went to eat here last Friday, before we received our lunch a gentleman was WOOD STAINING the dining areas and was 3 feet from us using wood stain. I am pregnant and the blatant disregard for the comfort/safety of ourselves and all the other customers eating lunch was disgusting. The wood stain he was using was in a plastic painter 's cup and the smell of chemical was very, very strong. The waitress we had was great but the manager was stand offish and was almost argumentative about the situation. I asked why someone was wood staining around patrons eating and especially during lunch hour and the only response I received from their manager was He got a late start. That shouldn 't matter, no one should have to smell wood stain or any other chemical while eating lunch. I asked him if the wood stain was food safe and he could only respond with It 's water based. I told him that 's not what I asked and he didn 't have an answer for us. I could hear other patrons complaining and honestly this should be looked into further. They did move us upstairs but I could still smell the wood stain. We had already ordered so I told my boyfriend lets eat quickly and leave. Very disappointed in this location. Also, when I look towards the front I found it disconcerting that the manager was staring at me, mean mugging me. YOU are the one in the wrong sir. Won 't be returning to this location again and have half a mind to report him and this location to the Food Safety and Inspection Service. Once again, our waitress was great and kind, the food was good but just the manager 's attitude and wood staining was enough to not bring us back.

I want my warmest thanks to the night leader of Red Lobster Towne East Square from Wichita. I live from the state and have older parents for whom I often order meals. On this occasion, October 7, I ordered about the Red Lobster website and the Door Dash driver half of my order was mistaken. I explained my situation to the night leader and without concerns; he immediately offered to deliver the forgotten things. His people like him who go beyond and out for their customers to generate customer loyalty. Thank you.

The waitress we had was great, but the manager stood on fish and was almost argumentative about the situation. I asked why someone polluted wood to eat cartridges and especially during lunchtime and the only answer I received from their manager was He got a late start. No matter what, no one should have to smell wood stain or another chemical at dinner. I asked him if the wooden spot was food safe and he could only react with it's water based. I told him not what I asked, and he had no answer for us. I could hear that other males complain and honestly, this should be considered further. They moved us up, but I could still smell the wood stain. We had already ordered to tell my friend that he would eat and leave quickly. Very disappointed at this point. Also, when I looked forward, I found it disturbing that the manager stared at me, my mugging me. You're the one in the wrong sir. Will not return to this place and have a half mind to report it and this place to the Food Safety and Inspection Service. Once again our waitress was great and friendly, the food was good, but only the attitude of the manager and the wood coloring did not return to us.

Very well maintained facility. Uses rooms and plains to create smaller dining places, keeping a little noise level down. The staff was attentive and competent. Food quality was typical of Red Lobster, no surprise. The food was well plated and very temperature-friendly. All a quite satisfactory visit.
