Playa Azul Authenic Mexican - Wichita

Tremendous Mexican food in Old Town, between Douglas and 1st Street, accessible off of Mosley or Washington. Playa’s chips and salsa are some of the best in town and make a great appetizer while exploring their loaded menu. My favorite pick off of it is any combination meal that includes the chili relleno. They make these stuffed chili peppers here full of delicious meat and are perfectly coated with egg, then topped with cheese and sauce. I can suggest other tasty items like their tacos, enchiladas, and avocado salads. They also have one of my favorite dining areas around thanks to its bright and creative Mexican decor that gives a vivid atmosphere to the restaurant. I can highly recommend Playa Azul’s as one of Wichita’s best places for Mexican cuisine.

We had a large party in for Christmas they were not prepared for 30 people even with reservations made. We have one server for the whole party. Took 30 mins to get our first drink besides the water on the table. Took an hour to get our food order taken. They tried but they should have had more servers to help. Food was good once we got it. I don’t recommend for large groups. Would be ok for a family or couple. Might not come back

I've gone here several times over the years and I've always really enjoyed it. I really like their chips and salsa, chorizo cheese dip, chorizo chicken, and taco salad just to name a few things.

Very good service and food delivery was very quick and hit and fresh.

Food was good, service was amazing and quick, atmosphere was chill because there was not a lot of people in there
