Dakara Sushi - Whittier

Consistently good food. Great service nice staff. The fish is always fresh. I highly recommend this place

Really good quality sushi. The dakara roll and baked crab roll are both good, albeit on the small side.

Man, chicken quality was very poor, teriyaki sauce was mediocre. Not coming here agian.

Love the sushi here!! They have good quality fish and you can taste the freshness. We live near Uptown Whittier and drive to East Whittier to have sushi at Dakara. There are closer sushi places but they don't compare to this place. Hands down the best sushi in town!!

They used to be great, but now they are now just mediocre. Mind you I do not eat sushi. I walk in, and it is just me. I go to the counter because I do not want to take up a table. Rudely I am told that the counter is reserved. Ok, fine. I'll take a coveted table for four then. My son texts me his to go order. He is one word off of his normal sushi order crispy spicy tuna he meant crispy RICE spicy tuna. I tried ordering it like he told me and the same lady practically yelled at me that there was no such thing. I told her I would get back to her since it was a to go order anyway. Like I said, I do not eat sushi. I got the correct order. Put that rice in between the crispy and spicy. He wanted chicken teri and two Dakara rolls. He's not getting both at $12 each. How about just one? Get home and there's no rice with that chicken teri. I'm not even done with this review and he's done with the dinner. Yelpers. The establishment adds the total of takeout to the dine in bill, service and experience is sub par, do you tip on the total? Or just dine-in? I'll find another spot for J food.
