Seashells - Whitley Bay

We had a fantastic experience at this fish and chips restaurant! My partner and I arrived at 9 o'clock, and we were pleasantly surprised. The exterior is unassuming, but the warm service inside made us feel right at home. The portions are generous, and the fish is incredibly fresh and delicious. We ordered the cod and squid, both of which were excellent, along with crispy chips and curry sauce that was surprisingly good! This is definitely the best place to visit for a late-night snack near the beach. Oh, and they have a great selection of whisky too!

I really enjoyed this chip shop. I had the chips and chicken strips, which I believe were £3.50. Everything was hot and delicious. The only downside was the portion size of the chips; I would have liked a bit more, as it felt a bit small. However, I would definitely go back for lunch!

My favorite fish and chip shop is The Opposite. I don’t think I’ve ever had a bad meal there. The fish is always cooked to order, which is a nice touch, rather than sitting around waiting to be sold. Plus, the portion sizes are very generous.

Chip stottie with sauce is delicious. perfect comfort food. also a great part. also the steak cake is delicious. large steak pieces. and looks homemade, so if they want to hurt their family with their homemade steak pies, then they go there

Had fish and chips. Fish was lovely and white not grey like some I have had. Proper chips not just crunchy ends and the batter was light and crispy. Would recommend a visit.
