Varriale's Pizza - Whiting

Everything I get from Varriales is great. Their minestrone soup is awesome and has become a staple. A bowl is more than enough for me as a meal with some garlic bread.

Huge sandwich. Enough for two meals. And very good meatballs and sauce. Their sauce is not overly sweet like many Italian restaurants in this area.

Delicious food! The meatballs are amazing—100% beef! I just wish I had some marinara sauce for the mozzarella sticks, but they were fantastic even without it.

I placed an order for $155.00, and it was far from satisfactory. We ordered five dinners, and no one could even finish theirs. To start, they forgot to include the soups and salads. The pasta was overcooked, and the sauce tasted like cheap tomato paste, either from a freezer or an old can. The cheesecake was the smallest portion I've ever seen for $9.00! I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone. I used to order from Nonas, but since I had a DoorDash credit and they no longer work with DoorDash, I decided to try this place instead. Big mistake!

The anchovy was cooked to perfection! The crust was just right, and they didn't hold back on the anchovy! The deluxe sub was loaded with meat, served on high-quality bread, and accompanied by fresh lettuce.
