The Pancake Parlour - Whitehorse

Beautiful welcoming decore, booths and timber tables indoors and outdoors. A seperate room for special gatherings. Excellent attentive friendly service. Good food choice and perfect coffee. Spotless toilets.

Called in with friends from interstate for breakfast. 5 people. We ordered coffee first. After 30 minutes coffee finally arrived. Stone cold. Asked waiter for a new coffee which was fine. After 1 hour, food finally arrived again all stone cold. We had had enough and I informed the manager. Obviously he apologised but too little too late. The waiters, while friendly and polite, where poorly trained and slow to react.Haven't been to Pancake Parlour for years and wont be going back anytime soon.Not impressed.

For a Saturday lunch, tasty and close to the cinema. Lots to choose from, many diners seemed to be just having a dessert pancake. Family enjoyed the schnitzel dishes and shared a dessert. Not low cost dinning, but great for that special treat. More booth type seating than chairs and tables which are located at the very back of the restaurant.

We went for the Summer 30o special. Was lovely. Had pancakes lovely. We were warmly welcomed and seated quickly.

In for a light meal, we decided to share the two main courses so we could have a pancake stack for dessert The waitress immediately brought the extra plates. Not a problem. I chose the special of chicken tenders with honey mustard mayo and salad. The chicken with mayo was utterly delicious, although the salad was disappointing, but I'd forgotten to tell them I didn't want herbs on the chips which were part of the meal. Immediately the manager apologised and returned quickly with a serve of fries in replacement. A delicious meal, as we all agreed. Excellent and pleasant service. Our only worry with The Pancake Parlour is the prices. In spite our sharing most of the meals between us, and with no drinks, the bill was still over $100. It's a wonderful place for families, but I worry they may be pricing themselves out of that very prolific market.
