Nami Japanese - White Rock

I will not be returning to this restaurant. The young staff members who used to work here were great, but the new staff members have changed things for the worse. The prices have gone up by around 20%, which was not surprising, but the disappointing part is that the quality of the food has declined. I ordered sunomono with real crab, but instead received imitation crab that was tasteless and had a cardboard-like texture. When I asked for maguro tuna sashimi, they brought me albacore instead and dismissively explained that they did not have maguro (red) tuna. The pieces of sashimi were cut thick and large, as if they were meant to be cooked rather than served raw. It was clear that the chef lacked knowledge about preparing sashimi properly or simply did not care. The quality of the tuna was also subpar. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for authentic Japanese food. I paid the bill at the table and left feeling disappointed with the overall experience.

I absolutely adore Nami and always eagerly anticipate getting sushi from there. It is conveniently situated in a great location, just a two-minute walk from my home, making it easily accessible for all residents of White Rock. The sushi is incredibly fresh and caters to a variety of tastes, whether you have a daring palate or simply crave some delicious gyoza. Personally, I am a big fan of their gyoza and spider roll, which are my go-to order. They are always consistently delicious! Additionally, they offer a delightful soda water drink with homemade preserved lemon that I highly recommend trying as it is absolutely delicious. I not only recommend Nami to everyone, but I also make it a point to bring all my friends here when they visit.

I have ordered from this restaurant a few times using delivery apps. The sushi is great, but their delivery service is slow. However, I recently discovered their Seared Combo with seared California and dynamite rolls and I am blown away! I love aburi oshi, but it can be pricey and the portions are small. The Seared Combo has the same delicious seared flavor and generous portions. I can't get enough of it and have been ordering it non-stop since trying it.

This place has the best sushi. I live in washington and I am so glad that the limit is open, as nami’s is my favorite place to eat and take incredible fish. the rolls are amazing and they have a huge menu of non-sushi Japanese entrees that my friend prefers.

So good! I had delivery and it arrived so well packaged and it tasted so fresh! Definitely my go to sushi place in this area from now on!!
