It had been several years since our last time there, but I am happy to say that Aberdeen is still a great place to go for Cantonese food. It should be noted that the restaurant no longer offers paper menus. You must scan in your table QR code and order on your phone. It took a few minutes to get comfortable with this new procedure. On our last visit we ordered full entrees. For this visit, we went mostly for the Dim Sum. We started with a very thick and delicious egg drop soup. Then came cold peanut noodles, followed by a vast assortment of dumplings, rolls, noodles, turnip cakes, taro puffs, eggplant and Shui Mai. And just to make sure we had enough to eat, we also ordered three entrees; seafood and eggplant Szechuan, salt and pepper shrimp and shrimp chow fun. Needless to say we had way too much food. But every item was delicious. And we brought home enough for another meal. The place was very busy, but the service was spot on. Very attentive serving crew. Overall, we had a great meal and I hope we don’t wait years to return.
I recently visited this restaurant and was extremely disappointed with the experience. Firsty and most unusual there were no waiters and only a few bus boys scrambling about attempting to serve and help the customers. We had to flag down a staff member whenever we needed something, and even then they were not attentive enough to fill our water glasses or get something for us on request. The QR code menu was also terrible and annoying. I would have much preferred a real physical menu which most restaurants provide upon request. This would naturally help ordering additional items if needed. At very most the food was average. It would have been nice if the manager on duty had at least acknowledged us but alas he didn't. I suspect the poor service and average food is probably due to a lack of competition in the area. With hardly any other Chinese restaurants around this restaurant clearly has no incentive to improve its service or quality. In the future I doubt if I and my other friends would ever plan returning to this establishment.
Located in a hotel in a congested area, surrounded by busy one way streets. Once you get there it is required paid parking. I have been there 3 times and DID NOT GET IN because they were closed in mid afternoons and Tuesdays. Inaccurate website said they are open today 11:0 a.m. 9_30 p.m. Not true. It was locked up tight; after we navigated the busy streets, had to commit to paid parking. There is NO attendant. A five minutes of parking, Aberdeen Seafood not open again, and we HAD tp pay. The Evil Marriott Corporation charges for the parking. Gouged again by Marriott high prices and low service, I have given up.
A very extensive choice of authentic dishes. Served piping hot dishes as you order by app. So efficient and adds the the experience. The main meals are a decent size
The restaurant is unattractive; the staff was inattentive: the food was uninspired. The Peking duck was ok. The food came in reverse order; main courses before dim sum and they totally forgot the white and sticky rice.
