The Anchor Coffee House

This coffee shop is absolutely charming and delightful. It features a variety of artwork and trinkets for sale, perfect for those who appreciate unique finds. The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly, although seating can be a bit snug. There is an additional side room with more tables, while the main area has several large communal tables. Parking is quite convenient, with options available in the angled spots directly in front of the shop, along the streets, or in a large shared lot nearby. The prices for coffee and pastries are very reasonable, and the coffee itself has a wonderful flavor.

The staff is friendly, and the coffee is excellent. The atmosphere is very relaxing.

The Anchor recently hosted a fantastic after-hours event that attracted a large crowd. The evening featured several performers, including singers, poets, and musicians playing guitar and keyboard, along with speakers sharing heartfelt stories about their lives. The atmosphere at The Anchor is warm and community-focused. It offers several tables where you can enjoy coffee, tea, and a diverse menu of food options. The historic building boasts high ceilings and wooden floors, with convenient parking right out front. Additionally, it is conveniently located within walking distance of many shops, the library, banks, and the scenic walking path by the lake. It's a wonderful spot to grab a treat or a bite to eat.

The café had a pleasant atmosphere, and the coffee was quite good. However, I nearly missed out on ordering it due to the cashier's inattentiveness; they completely ignored us, and the overall service left much to be desired. I don't think I'll be returning. Food rating: 3/5.

This is a lovely coffee shop with several spacious tables and a cozy side room featuring smaller tables. During my visit, I noticed plenty of small groups of two or three, which contributed to a vibrant atmosphere. If you're seeking a quieter spot, this might not be the best option, but I personally enjoyed the lively vibe. The espresso drinks are top-notch and expertly prepared. I particularly liked the white bear mocha.
