Captain George Fish & Chips

This is a traditional fish and chips restaurant. We decided to try the halibut for two based on the cashier's suggestion since we were having a hard time choosing. The food was tasty, but not exceptional. We ended up eating our meal in the parking lot, but went back inside to ask for more ketchup and the cashier was happy to see us again. The staff was friendly and provided great customer service.

I had high expectations for this restaurant because of the great reviews, but I was disappointed. The prices were double what was listed online. I paid $28 for two pieces of fish and fries. The fries were soggy and overly greasy, and the fish portions were smaller than expected. I was hoping for more for the price. The staff was friendly, but I felt like I was ripped off.

I stopped by this restaurant the other night and decided to give them a try. Unfortunately, I was informed that the price of seafood had gone up, leading to increased prices on the menu. Despite this, I ordered a fish dish and a salad, only to be disappointed by the small portion sizes for the price of $20. Feeling unsatisfied, I challenged myself and went to another chip place where I received a larger portion of fish served with a large salad for a total of $16. It seems like something fishy is going on at the first restaurant.

Not sure if it's changed owners at all, but had high hopes from all the other reviews noted here.Bought a two piece dinner with fries and salad. The salad was good, typical house salad but the fries were mushy and very greasy. The fish was not very good as the breading was very crusty. Even though the fish looked flaky, the batter was tasteless...Unfortunate.

Start off by saying the food was ok. Nothing bad. French fires were all cut to small under 1 inch in size. Fish was ok, not great, not bad, ok. Ordered captain George special and all our food was cold, not Luke warm, not a huge deal as we always get take out and have 10 min drive so Usually warm. Scallops were horrible tasting, very fishy. Uneatable. Shrimp was ok. Order was $100 total definitely not even close value wise. Overall I would say 3.5 stars.
