Mcdonald's - Whitby

Typical McDonald's. Great play land. Kids loved it! The kids didn't want to leave. The kids love the food, I prefer something else.

I have visited this McD's three consecutive mornings and each time the service has been terrible. The location is great and the property is clean and well kept with a very nice patio but the service is totally awful. Each time I went the cashier can handle more customers than the poor clerk can dish out, so there is a huge line up waiting for the food. They have a numbering system but often forget to display the number. This morning after lining up to order a coffee (double double) and a pastry, I had to re-line up to get my order. After several minutes and much confusion at the counter my order came up without my number being displayed. When I finally made it out to the patio, I found my coffee was black! Rather than go through this again, I ditched the coffee and walked across the parking lot to Tim Hortons. Never to return. The people waiting for their food orders have to stand at a choke point in the restaurant blocking other people coming and going. Very poorly managed.

Not just this McDonalds......but any McDonalds. I use to crave a quarter pounder or a Big Mac once every two of three months and would go for it........felt sick for the rest of the day so I don't do that anymore....I cant believe people bring their kids there. The need to follow the path of A&W and offer a more natural product with less sodium and fat.

This review is not comparing McDonald's to other restaurants - whether they are fast food or not. We all know that McDonald's is not the healthiest or most delicious option, but it is often the most convenient. Unfortunately, we live in south Whitby, so this location is the closest to us. We have eaten here (and gotten takeout from here) more times than I care to admit. I am constantly surprised by how often they mess up our orders. Whether you are going through the drive-thru or eating in, they frequently forget items when packing your order. It is a 50/50 chance at best that you will receive everything you ordered. We are a family of five, so our order may be larger than average, but still. Additionally, the service is slow and rarely friendly.
