Mario's East Side - Whitby

Took the all-you-can-eat option for 2. Preferred the bread, salad and soup over the pastas. Really good pricing for a full stomach. Friendly waitress. Very quiet and near empty restaurant for 1PM on a Wednesday. May recommend again for anyone craving Italian.

The pasta was dry and lacked sauce. The food is overpriced considering the quality. It may be a decent option for a family meal occasionally, but parents might want to eat elsewhere before or after. Their "signature" dish, Chicken Parmigiana with spaghetti, was $25. It would be nice to see more variety in the pasta options. The servers are young and friendly, but could use more training in providing good service. The owner or manager was very loud, constantly speaking loudly across tables to the servers.

My family visited on a Tuesday for the Toonie Tuesday special. There were four of us initially, but our friends unexpectedly joined us after we had received our appetizers. The hostess and servers were very accommodating, quickly moving us to a larger table and taking their orders. The food arrived promptly, hot, and delicious. We also took advantage of the affordable kids eat for a toonie deal. The service at this restaurant is consistently fantastic.

The atmosphere was lovely. Calli was an amazing server and she went above and beyond to make our large party feel welcomed. Great restaurant will come again!

Got take out. Ordered spaghetti and meatballs-the standard. Absolutely awful. The spaghetti was crunchy in spots, the meatballs didn't taste like meatballs (packaged) and very little sauce. Threw most of it out, for fear of getting sick. Waste of $25.Zero stars.
