Halibut Time Fish - Whitby

Comparing this to my fave spot in Oshawa called Churchill's and it's incomparable! Halibut House Port Perry location can also compete! You get much more value at both those places than here. I prefer the chips here though, the cut is thicker. On my first visit I wanted to sample the quality so I ordered the 3oz smaller portion of halibut with chips, gravy and coleslaw. Batter was super crispy and flavorful but fish was cut too thin so it was dry! Chips were hand cut and delicious; gravy was good the 1st visit, the 2nd time it was so lumpy and awful! Decent portion size but I get alot more at Churchill's!CONS: too pricey; not enough value added for the money spent! Inconsistent (i.e. gravy).PRO: the fries are great, everytime! Creamy coleslaw was good.Parking: Great parking lot! Ample parking!!!

First timer going here, I was not disappointed at all!!! Got the Haddock and Fries... The portion size was huge and they were great and not greasy... My new go to place for fish and chips!!!

Great little restaurant , portions are perfect size, fish is always crunchy on the outside and flaky and tender inside. Pricing is reasonable .

Ordered on Good Friday, which is usually crazy busy, but rec’vd it within an hour and even did a change to my order.Fish was amazing, best fish and chips! Family of 5 and not a bite left over!Highly recommend!

What ever you do… do not order for pick up from this place … it goes directly through Door Dash and then you pay an extra $15-$20 … that’s what happened to me and the manager told me there was nothing she could do … she was rude and not helpful at all … then it’s almost impossible to cancel your order …
