The drinks at this restaurant were a bit pricey, but that seems to be the norm for the village. The hotel is situated in the Whistler visitor center.
The restaurant is not in a trendy location and may seem a bit sketchy at first. I was hesitant to place an order, but I was pleasantly surprised. The staff was friendly and took my order promptly. When I inquired about the wait time, they said it would be about 10 minutes, which was very reasonable. In reality, my order arrived much sooner than that. I ordered the house combo, and it was both fresh and delicious. Additionally, it was half the price of a similar combo at a more upscale restaurant down the road. Well worth it!
We were four customers who ordered six Rainbow Rolls with three Nigiri at this restaurant. Unfortunately, the food was not ready at the expected pick-up time. We were a bit surprised by the casual and somewhat grumpy demeanor of the small shop. It seemed more like a takeout counter than a proper restaurant. I won't blame the staff, but the main issue was the limited food quality and lack of delicacy in the portions. The sushi was packaged in subpar containers that looked outdated. Watching how the sushi was prepared, one of my friends even remarked, "It looks like children made this sushi!" We were hungry when we arrived, but our appetites waned as we got through half of the meal. We regretted not opting for the probably more expensive sushi at the upscale restaurant on the other side of the shopping street.
Cheap and delicious fast sushi, noodle bowls, tofu etc. It's not a perfect environment being in the visitor centre but it's not that kind of place. Excellent, tasty, quick fast food.
