La Brasserie des Artistes - Whistler

Honestly, there is nothing exceptional to note about this restaurant. It is simply another ordinary white restaurant. It may be slightly better than Whitespot. The service was okay, but we were told to sit outside. Although they claimed the outdoor seating was heated, our section was not.

We came in one night and ordered to the nines. Cocktails, couple bottles of wine, appetizers, dinner, and dessert and everything was wonderful! Five days later we came back for a 2 for one pizza. On Tuesday. (Written up in the book). The owner claimed that the program had changed. She said we changed to Wednesday for our 2 for 1 pizza. We now have a band on Tuesday. Great about the band, but where is it? Not this Tuesday. next week. As a restaurant owner myself, I found our second visit totally unacceptable! And I had time to write this because the owner has been avoiding us all night. Unlike the the night we spent more extravagantly. So overall, as a guest be prepared for interpreting genuine intentions.

Before leaving Whistler, we popped over the Village Stroll to this restaurant, which was open for breakfast. As it was a pleasant morning and early enough, we managed to sit at a table outside.We ordered “The Usual Breakfast”. The meal was enjoyable, but the scrambled eggs were not hot when they arrived at the table. It was our friend's birthday and the waitress kindly offered him a complimentary mimosa, which was a nice touch. However, we were disappointed by the long wait for our food. I would consider returning, but I would choose a less busy time to visit.
