Robin Hood Inn - Whisky Creek

Had Sunday lunch at the Robin Hood with the kids. Food was great, beer was cold, staff friendly, great gem to stop at on the way down the highway.

Staff were friendly but the meals were very ordinary. Took over 2 hrs to get main meals & they'd run out of vegetables, salad was crappy. Very dated venue

If you want a great friendly atmosphere... the Hood is where it's at! Amazing food, great people and everyone knows everyone, so no one's short of a hello or a great story.The food is cooked with amazing care and always tastes great. The kitchen staff get worked off their feet but still produce beautiful meals.As well as the bar staff who manage the whole bar, bistro, bottle shop and milk bar do a fantastic job. Every time I come back to my home town Victoria, I make sure I go out of my way just to say hello, eat, have a drink and a laugh.

We'd heard really good things and we're looking forward to dining here but were sorely disappointed. First off you walk through a stale smelling bar which wouldn't be so bad if you didn't have kids but we did so it was rather uncomfortable as the you just get stared at by a bunch of guys obviously just off work. Then you walk into a dirty little room with a few tables and a layer of grime on most things. The food was absolutely ****, over cooked, flavourless and Much was pre packaged. I put gravy on my pasta just for some flavour. I wouldn't come back here in a pink fit. The girl serving said business hadn't been as good lately and I'm wondering if the kitchen had changed hands. Certainly not the place we had heard about nor been able to get into for so long.

Where shall I start ? No one to greet you at entrance, grimy appearance, tables not ready, had to get own menu, all five meals were not nice to eat at all , hair in one of them !! No atmosphere in dining area , freezing cold ( fire was lit eventually ) but to late to create any heat , took a long time to get meals and not all at same time, didn't want to try deserts, mains was bad enough, garlic bread was about the best bit Don't stop drive straight past
