Eckhart House - Wheeling

My women's church group went for tea at the Eckart House. It was such a lovely experience and the host was a wonderful man. He gave us some history of the house and the tea. The tea itself is worth the trip, it's delicious.:

We really love this place! This historic home which is on the National Register is a beautiful place to enjoy a Saturday afternoon tea with friends. The food is wonderful and the gift shop has a little bit of everything. If you want some wonderful homemade scones, cucumber sandwiches, chicken salad finger sandwiches and some wonderful tea, make sure you come to visit Gretchen and Joe. This is a must-do!!

Have been many times for the wonderful teas at Eckhart House with terrific homemade sandwiches and desserts Gretchen makes. Particularly love the holiday teas when Joe shares historic stories of Wheeling and the house specifically that are very charming and informative.

This is a highlight of Wheeling!! We will go back.
