Qdoba Mexican Eats - Wheaton

As a vegetarian, I often seek out restaurants that can satisfy both my dietary preferences and those of the meat-eaters in my family. Qdoba is a great option, as they offer Impossible plant-based meat that can be added to any of their entrees. They also have a variety of naturally vegetarian dishes to choose from. This makes it easy to please everyone in a mixed family. The food is quick and delicious, and everything is made to order. What’s not to love? One note, though: while the dining area is generally straightforward, parking may be a bit tight if you're driving, and the counter height can be a little challenging.

Afterward, as I waited by the checkout, the man opened a new batch of guacamole for my fiancé, so I asked if I could have a scoop of that too since my initial serving was so small. I didn't think it was a big deal, but the woman looked visibly annoyed. I noticed her and the man whispering to each other, and then she told me I’d have to pay for "extra guacamole." I was taken aback; after she had scraped the bottom of the container for my small portion, I just wanted a scoop of the fresh stuff. It took her quite a bit of hesitation to finally get it for me. Once we sat down to eat, I honestly felt uncomfortable because it was clear she didn’t want me there. At least places like Chipotle have the courtesy to bring out fresh ingredients when they’re running low, rather than just offering the dregs. It felt like I was being unfairly treated for no reason.

I just stopped by to pick up lunch, and the staff barely filled my bowl. When I asked for more, they still hardly added anything. I tried to use a promo code at the register, but the cashier was rude and didn't acknowledge it. I've never been charged for chips on the side before, and this time they charged me extra. I'm really disappointed with this Qdoba location—I'm extremely upset and annoyed. I definitely won't be going back.

Looked and tasted delicious. Staff was friendly and store cleanly.
