Sharky's - Wexford

The food at this restaurant is tasty but it is definitely overpriced and the portions are smaller than in previous years in Rosslare Strand. The restaurant also always closes early. The fish and chips we ordered were delicious, but the prices were a bit ridiculous. Despite the high cost, the flavor of the food made up for it.

I wasn't at this sharkies in wexford Town but I went to one out in carrig on bannow two times, first time the batter was so thick on the fish you get more batter than fish and trying to eat it was horrible. The chips were nasty ,had a very strange taste to them. The staff are very non plused about having a customer there , they seem to be more interested what's on their phone than the person buying something, very un professional. The second time I got a pizza which the base was soft and uncooked ,the tomato sauce also tasted extremely salty. Would not recommend going here for fish and chips or pizza.

Burnt my chicken burger added extra toppings that I didn’t order (probably to disguise the burnt chicken) and forgot to add my curry dip

Just received my order, missing a portion of chips, rang down and they were going to send them up, grand. Bit into my chicken burger and it was raw! So I rang again and told her not to bother with the chips as I was going to get something somewhere else and she hung up on me. Rang again to find out about my refund and speak to the manager about the rude staff member! And I could hear her laughing in the background. Totally unprofessional and not even an apology.

Went to Sharky's in Rosslare at 7.30 p.m. on 15 June for take away for my wife and two friends. They had no cod or haddock. Asked about the hake and was assured that it was as good and as large as the cod. Arrived home and was disappointed to find that only one of the three hake (the other was chicken) was of reasonable size, the other two hake were small and thin and mainly batter. Was left with the feeling that we had been conned and ripped of. We live in Wexford and this was my first visit to Sharky's and certainly my last!
