Man was extremely rude. My sister came in and got a water bottle AFTER she had already paid for it, the man took A SIP OUT OF IT. Then proceeded to go get her another one?….. It’s pretty obvious this man is incredibly rude and he was trying to prove a point as earlier in the day, he came outside to my family and harassed them for sitting at “HIS TABLES” (his words) here’s a thought, why have seating outside if you don’t want anyone sitting in “your chairs” also, my brother in law went back to the store and confronted the old man for his behavior, he made up a million excuses. Literally the RUDEST and most DISTASTEFUL man I’ve ever encountered. By the sound of previous reviews, this is a reoccurring thing.
Most uncomfortable experience in a coffee shop. EVER. In my life. I walk in with my 12 year old daughter yesterday afternoon around 3:30 pm. The entrance I came in was somewhat awkward in reference to where the counter is located so I kind of walked in and looked around the shop for a moment to get my barings. I spot a menu posted near where we entered and after looking around briefly at the art they have hanging for sale, I decide on getting a medium iced chocolate mocha coffee and my daughter ordered an ice cream cone cookie dough flavor. I have to walk to the other side of the counter to order where the woman sat with her card machine she sits around the corner from the typed menu I was looking at. I relay our order to her ver batum. I am immediately shocked when the older man working at the machines stops abruptly to YELL at me I DO NOT SERVE MEDIUM DRINKS AND I HAVE NOT SERVED THEM FOR 10 YEARS!! I look back at him stunned and sort of let out an awkward laugh, not knowing quite how to read the situation. The woman stares blankly at me behind her machine. I know that menu said small, medium, and large sizes and also listed the prices for each and I am further affirmed when I see another menu I 'd missed before posted on this side..right in front of me actually. But nevertheless I say to the man...fine..I 'll take a small. He then says rather loud and rudely IT IS STUPID to order a SMALL when the LARGE isn 't much more in price! It hits me then how immensely awkward this situation was developing. So I say OK then Mr. Sales man..I 'll take a LARGE iced white chocolate mocha and my daughter will have a cookie dough ice cream cone. He says OK well..she will have to ring you up because I 'm busy (ok....obviously!? I pay her and we take a seat in an adjoining room where I assume they bring the order to your table. I check my phone when we get to our table and see that it is now 3:37. There is a couple sitting in the room with us who ordered before we arrived. The only other people I can tell are sharing this space is a small group of woman knitting in another room off of the one we are currently sitting in. While we waited, a woman from the room of knitters walked through our waiting area and went into the room with the counter and ordered two drinks. Then she proceeded back to the room the group of knitters occupied. The couple was served who had ordered before us and I was relieved thinking OK were next, and then we can leave this place. Imagine my shock when finally the woman emerges again who took my order only for me to realize she was bringing two drinks to the room of knitters. Who obviously ordered after us. I look down at my phone and it 's now 3:57. I stop her as she heads back toward her perch at her counter and say..excuse me ma 'am. Do you know how much longer it will be? She eyes me up and down and says well I will have to ask HIM. Referencing the older man who yelled before. I was like..OK thank you, please ask him. Because at this point I just wanted a refund after waiting this long and to leave this uncomfortable place. Like...was she not willing to make an ice cream cone? They were the only two working there..But I was also with my daughter and thought this could be a teaching moment, you know..be the bigger person..dont let rude people ruffle your feathers.. but I was so close to marching back in there... she came back about 10 minutes later with my coffee without ice (which I paid extra for , no straw, and my daughters ice cream in a plastic cup. While we sat, My daughter asked me why that man was yelling at me while I was attempting to order.. I told her that I did not know but we would never patronize this business again. There is another coffee shop within walking distance (I found it later And even though I have never patronized that particular Coffee shop I suggest anyone in the area to go there rather than this one. Edited after not true comment. Is is true as I took
True local coffee shop that’s one of a kind. I always try and support local shops like this and their coffee is great. Make sure to stop by when you’re passing through or looking for something unique and different than your traditional coffee stops.
Loved coming here with my girlfriend for our date! I got a frappé and she got a Watermelon lemonade and both were delicious. The man at the counter warned me it wouldn't be anything like fastfood frappés, and that it'd be more bitter and that he would use real coffee but it tasted amazing! He was right, it was nothing like a fast food frappé it was way better. The lemonade was really good too. Nice atmosphere and perfect little spot to hang out and drink something sweet while admiring some local art for sale.
