Sogno Coffeehouse Creperie - Westwood

Great job, Johnny! Keep up the fantastic work. I really miss you all here in Westwood and hope you open up again soon. It's starting to feel a bit worrying without you. I specifically miss downtown Westwood Avenue, along with my favorite crepes and coffee.

Sogno is outstanding! The staff is welcoming to families, and since it's family-owned, they genuinely care about their customers and ensuring everyone has a great experience. I always opt for their sweet crepes, and they never fail to impress!

The Chocolate Oreo Cake featured layers of moist chocolate cake with a light, whipped cream-like frosting, all topped off with a sprinkle of Oreo crumbs. While we enjoyed the cake's texture, we found the frosting to be somewhat lacking in flavor; when indulging, we hope for a sweeter experience! The Peanut Butter Cup Brownie Mousse Sundae was a different story. It began with a rich fudge base, topped not with ice cream, but with a generous scoop of peanut butter mousse, which had a subtle cheesecake-like flavor. Drizzled with chocolate ganache and finished with a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup, this dessert was certainly a showstopper. We all preferred this indulgent treat over the less exciting slice of cake, although the mousse to brownie ratio felt a bit overwhelming at times. Overall, Sogno Coffee House offered unique and elaborate desserts that didn't leave us feeling overly full, but they could definitely benefit from a stronger flavor profile.

Excellent coffee, crepes, and pastries! The staff is incredibly friendly, and there's plenty of seating along with nearby parking. The quality is consistently outstanding, and their sister restaurant, Caffe Anello, is equally fantastic. These are two wonderful family-owned businesses that definitely deserve our support!

I was torn between giving this restaurant 2 or 3 stars because I was quite disappointed with the flavor of the crepes. The crepe itself was thicker than usual and so doughy that I had to peel off a layer. I tried both a savory and a sweet crepe, and unfortunately, both were lackluster and soggy. I was really looking forward to a great experience given all the positive reviews, so this was a letdown.
