Contribuiți la feedbackThe Inn was nice as far as the room and amenities. Everything we would have needed was available for us to use. My complaint is that I did not get any sleep due to the constant truck traffic all night long, as the Inn sits literally next to the road. Theroom was also very bright at night due to the large windows next to the street and the hall lights are left on all night. Therooms are very expensive (over $200) considering that the Inn is located in an area where we couldn?t get gas, shop, and we hadto walk 15 mins to a restaurant to eat, which was also well overpriced, so I would suggest eating before you get there. They dooffer breakfast for an additional $20 each, but we declined.
We've never stayed at an inn before, and we might be spoiled for good now. This one features a book theme! The lobby serves as a lending library and an antique bookstore. The nine guest rooms are named after authors, each decorated in unique styles. We are in the Tolkien room. Plus, Alexandra prepares a fresh breakfast on the porch, and our room offers beautiful views of Lake Champlain!
Absolutely fantastic place to stay! I can’t praise this charming Inn in Westport enough! It’s perfectly located with stunning views of Lake Champlain. The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating. We will definitely return!
Well maintained old house, in terms of decorations. Very nice library on first floor. House needs some repair to level the floor, to make doors work better, and to seal the window. Old houses always have their charm and characters. Mattress is notvery comfortable. Blanket is old. TV is way too small. Owner is nice. Price is not cheap for everything this inn provides. But it?s a tiny town and it?s probably the most decent inn you can find there.
The Inn at Westport is a charming little gem! Alexandra Anthony takes great pride in providing an experience that is utterly relaxing. Each room is decorated to reflect the whimsical style of the author they are named after. My husband and I stayed in the J.R.R. Tolkien room, which was adorned as if it belonged in a home in the Shire. The breakfast nook offers a stunning view of Ballard Park and the mountains surrounding Lake Champlain. Alexandra is passionate about sharing the history of the inn, the town, and the area, and her knowledge and enthusiasm are truly infectious. Her deep love for books, incantations, and art is beautifully showcased throughout the inn. I found myself getting excited every time I spoke with her. This is truly a hidden gem that should not be overlooked! - Marie Z.
