Sherwood Diner - Westport

I had a great dinner at the sherwood diner. we had great avocado blts with super crispy sweet potatoes. the diner makes the best reispudding. the service was on the spot. the waitress gicarli was friendly and attentive to our needs. all staff were super friendly and professional! makenzie was very welcoming. I will return to the diner, sherwood diner!

The avocado toast was fantastic! I loved the idea of feta with cherry tomaten. it is not just a beautiful presentation, but it tastes good! the egg came separately and so I have ploppled it up as I am a texture, a savory arta girl. the only reason for four stars and not five was this terrible acidic coffee?

We stopped here for lunch. good location as it is near the autobahn (I-95) and is on the boston post rd. I thought that both the restaurant and the bathroom are clean. the personal was friendly and attentive. our food was good and there is much to choose.

I had better experiences with holes in the wall in the 3rd world countries. it was a bad sign when we came in and the waiting staff gathered instead of dealing with tables. the sandwiches were dry and overpriced with barely meat, but we never saw our waitress in the table until I asked for the check, and then they wanted to know how everything is? at the end of a meal? the food leaves much to wish, as well as the service.

Many years ago I moonlighted at the bar next door (now of blessed memory) and we used to hit this place afterwards. I always stop here on my way to/from New England and it never disappoints. Visited again this week and was pleased to see it is still in business and has been refreshed inside since my last visit. My food (chicken salad club) came out very quickly and was fresh and tasty. Both my waiter and another young guy working were attentive and friendly. Sad to see like so many places it's no longer open 24 hours... maybe because the bar is gone!
